Dr. Mitchell E. Nisenson is a general dentist who provides comprehensive dental care focused on helping patients achieve and maintain healthy smiles. Originally from Bridgewater, New Jersey, Dr. Nisenson brings a patient-centered approach to dentistry and enjoys helping individuals feel comfortable and confident in the dental chair.
Dr. Nisenson earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Pittsburgh and later completed a Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) at Rutgers University–Newark. He went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from New York University and completed his General Practice Residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, where he gained advanced clinical experience treating a wide range of dental needs.

Before joining Ocean Health Initiatives, Dr. Nisenson worked in a private dental practice in a small community, where he developed a strong appreciation for building lasting relationships with patients and providing personalized care.

Dr. Nisenson finds the most rewarding part of his work in helping patients overcome fear and anxiety about dental care. He takes pride in creating a welcoming environment and guiding patients toward improved oral health, believing that a successful day is one where he has helped as many people as possible feel healthier and more confident in their smiles.
Outside of the office, Dr. Nisenson enjoys spending time with friends and family, following sports—especially the New York Giants, New York Knicks, New York Yankees, and Pitt Panthers—traveling when he can, and relaxing with TV, movies, and music.

Fun Fact: Dr. Nisenson is left-handed, so patients may notice the dental chair set up a little differently than usual!
