Dr. John Sungjin Moon is a New Jersey native dedicated to providing accessible, patient-centered dental care. He earned both his undergraduate degree in Biology and his master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences from Rutgers University before receiving his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts.

Prior to joining Ocean Health Initiatives, Dr. Moon gained valuable experience in the dental field working as both a dental hygienist and dental assistant. His experience has given him a well-rounded perspective on patient care and the importance of helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their dental visits.

Dr. Moon is excited to be part of OHI and to serve the diverse commun-ities of Ocean County by helping expand access to quality oral healthcare. He is committed to building strong relationships with his patients and providing compassionate care tailored to their individual needs.

Dr. Moon is bilingual in English and Korean, allowing him to provide care and communicate with patients in both languages.

Outside of OHI, Dr. Moon enjoys hiking, biking, exploring new places, and playing the piano.
