Thanking Our Healthcare Providers!

Recently, Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI) Lakewood was treated to a Thank you lunch by the Lakewood Church Family, Lakewood Wrestling Team, Vida City Church and Love Your Neighbor Association.  Currently, OHI is offering free COVID virus and antibody testing at their Lakewood locations to qualified residents in the community.

The team of volunteers headed up by Oscar, teacher and coach of the Lakewood Wrestling Team made the homemade empanadas and other food items sponsored by Missionary Pentecostal Church (Vida City Church) and Love Your Neighbor Association and served the lunch to our hometown healthcare center as a thank you for their dedication and service to the community.

Ocean Health Initiatives (OHI) in Lakewood is open Monday through Friday 8 am-4:30 pm for testing and are by appointment only.  COVID-19 testing will be performed outdoors in the parking lot of the Lakewood site.  Please call (732)363-6655 to schedule an appointment.

OHI Lakewood is located at 101 Second Street, Lakewood, NJ 08701.

Antibody tests measure the immune system’s response to an infection. Negative antibody results DO NOT rule out SARs-CoV-2 infection, particularly in those who have recently been in contact with someone who has the virus. A nasal swab (a molecular diagnostic test) is performed to rule out the possibility that someone could be an asymptomatic carrier of the virus.
