Nutrition Counseling

Ocean Health Initiatives offers a full range of outpatient nutrition services designed to help you achieve optimal health and feel your best. What is a Dietitian? A Dietitian is a food and nutrition expert who can translate the latest scientific breakthroughs into practical food choices. Individualized Nutrition Counseling Nutrition counseling is available for, but not limited to, the following areas: Healthy Eating and Wellness Weight Loss Label Reading Diabetes Management Heart Disease High Blood Pressure High Cholesterol Renal Disease Weight Control Dietitian and You By improving your eating habits, you are taking steps towards a healthier you. During your appointment with the Dietitian, you will receive individual counseling and specific guidance with personalized goals. Your Registered Dietitian will: Review your diet history and help you set goals that fit your lifestyle Analyze your usual food intake and suggest changes to improve your eating habits Provide personalized diet instructions based on mutually determined goals Work with your OHI provider and inform them of your nutrition care plan Well and Kind Program Well & Kind is a free program for OHI patients that focuses on helping patients with type 2 diabetes improve their health. The program is hosted by OHI's Registered Dietitians, Robert Hildebrandt, RD, and Eduardo Haynes, MS, RD. The program consists of six, one-hour classes. Topics covered during the program include: Lifestyle changes Nutrition Medication management

Robert Hildebrandt, RD

Registered Dietitian

Robert Hildebrandt works at all our OHI locations providing nutrition counseling and education to our patients and employees.


He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Food and Nutrition from the College of Saint Elizabeth in 2016 then completed his Dietetic Internship at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland, New Jersey in 2017.

Robert Hildebrandt joined OHI in June 2017.

Eduardo Haynes, MS, RD

Registered Dietitian

Eduardo Haynes, MS, RD graduated from CUNY Brooklyn College in 2012 with a Master Degree in Science with a concentration in Health & Nutrition. Eduardo is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of New York as well as Licensed Dietitian in the State of Florida and Texas.


He has acquired clinical nutrition, food services, nutrition counseling, and community nutrition experience in a variety of settings; from hospitals, clinics to pantry services. Eduardo has provided nutrition education workshops, groups, and seminars in a variety of locations including but not limited to charter schools, community centers, out patient clinics, hospitals and other venues.


He has devoted his career to the improvement of patients and client’s life in a meaningful and successful manner. Eduardo has extensive experience in dealing with clients from all aspects of the human cycle; prenatal, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.


His expertise is predominantly with the adult and pediatric populations. His focus has been with patients and clients with obesity, Diabetes, Pre-Diabetes, Heart, Gastro Intestinal, and Immune Diseases as well as food allergies, intolerances, or sensitivities.


His focus during nutrition counseling is not dieting but changing eating behaviors sustainably to improve nutrition-related diseases and quality of life.


Eduardo was born and raised in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
