Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc., (OHI) a federally qualified health center (FQHC), will host a grand opening ceremony at its Freehold Health Center, located at 20 Jackson Street, on Friday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The function will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and Halloween- themed Health Fair for the public.
Invited guests include Senator Vin Gopal, Assemblywoman Joann Downey and Assemblyman Eric Houghtaling. In addition to the grand opening program, OHI’s Halloween Health Fair will feature community resources, trick or treating, music, games and FREE health screenings.
The Freehold Health Center is OHI’s first location in Monmouth County and ninth location in New Jersey. Additional locations include Brick, Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor, Manahawkin, Manchester and Toms River; as well as two School-based Wellness Programs at the Clifton Avenue Elementary School and Lakewood High School. OHI Health Centers offer primary and preventative care services, regardless of insurance or ability to pay. The site is now accepting patients and operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Hours are subject to seasonal changes.
